New Home in Montpelier

Nov 18 2013

We have been framing a small new house in one of the older neighborhoods in Montpelier.  It’s a great example of infill housing – taking advantage of an underutilized lot to create an additional housing unit in a great location. This very well insulated/air-sealed structure is being built within a relatively small footprint and we anticipate very low operating costs for the owner. The home is enrolled with Efficiency Vermont’s High Performance Home program.

Throughout the fall of 2013 we have been building a well designed addition on a ca. 1920’s home in Montpelier, along with remodeling the kitchen, basement and certain bedrooms in the original house.

The addition hosts a first level master suite, and the kitchen employs a newly opened floor plan, new cabinetry, and windows to take advantage of the wooded view.
